Arms of God Laser Core Guide — Energy Build, Ramping Damage & How to Craft

The Laser Core is a unique Tier 3 Energy Ranged weapon. Instead of firing projectiles, it projects a continuous energy beam. Its Legendary passive — Overcharge — ramps beam damage from 100% to 300% over 4 seconds of continuous fire. Once fully charged, the Laser Core out-DPSes every other weapon in the game.

How Overcharge Works
The damage ramp resets when you stop firing, dodge, or take damage. The key to Laser Core is maintaining continuous fire. Use positioning and movement speed blessings to kite enemies while keeping the beam active.
At max ramp (300%), the Laser Core deals 135–180 damage per tick at 6 ticks/second — roughly 810–1080 DPS, the highest sustained damage in the game.
Best Blessings
- Capacitor — +50% energy damage. Straight multiplier, essential.
- Kinetic Shield — 20% damage reduction while firing. Lets you tank hits without resetting Overcharge.
- Swift Foot — +30% movement speed. Kite while maintaining beam lock.
- Overclock — +25% fire rate. Gets you to max ramp in 3 seconds instead of 4.
Best Character: Engineer
Engineer's Divine Form deploys a stationary turret that draws enemy aggro. Deploy turret → stand behind it → hold Laser Core beam on the biggest threat. The turret tanks while you ramp to 300%.
When to Use Laser Core
Laser Core shines against slow, large bosses where you can maintain uninterrupted beam fire. It struggles against fast, teleporting enemies (Varek the Betrayer) that break your beam lock. For those fights, use Devastator instead.
