New Game+ Overview

Arms of God's New Game+ unlocks after defeating Divine Engine Omega for the first time. It's not a simple difficulty increase — NG+ adds new enemies, mechanics, and exclusive loot that's not available in the base game.

How to unlock: Defeat Divine Engine Omega. Save file will show "NG+ Available" on the continue screen.

What Carries Over

Difficulty Changes

Enemy Scaling:

  • Base enemies: +50% HP, +30% damage
  • Elite enemies: +100% HP, +50% damage, new attack patterns
  • Bosses: +75% HP, +40% damage, additional phase mechanics

New Enemy Types:

  • Corrupted versions of all basic enemies (purple aura, higher damage)
  • Elite variants have resistance to one damage type
  • Some enemies now have "Unstable" — they explode on death

New Mechanics:

  • Random Affixes: Elite enemies can spawn with random buffs (Regenerating, Shielded, Enraged)
  • Curse of Mortality: Your max HP is reduced by 10% per zone cleared. Restored at Cathedral.
  • Blighted Zones: Random zones per act are covered in blight (continuous damage)

Exclusive NG+ Rewards

Legendary Blessings:

  • Eternal Flame: +5% max HP per level (scales to level 20 = +100% HP)
  • Soul Reaper: 10% chance to instantly kill non-boss enemies below 20% HP
  • Time Weaver: 15% chance to reset all cooldowns on boss kill

Cosmetics:

  • Corrupted Paladin skin (defeat Act 1 boss without taking damage)
  • Omega Slayer title (defeat Divine Engine Omega in under 3 minutes)
  • Golden Weapon Aura (complete NG+ without dying)

Should You Play NG+?

Play NG+ if:

  • You want the challenge of new boss mechanics
  • You want exclusive blessings for future speedruns
  • You're after achievements/trophies

Skip NG+ if:

  • You just want to experience the story (NG+ has no new story content)
  • You struggled with base difficulty
