Arms of God Tier 3 Weapons — How to Unlock, Craft & Farm Legendary Weapons

Tier 3 weapons are the pinnacle of Arms of God's arsenal. These Legendary-tier armaments deal dramatically more damage than Tier 1 and Tier 2 weapons, come with unique passive effects, and are essential for clearing Hard Mode and New Game+ content at levels 50–60.
But getting them isn't straightforward. You need specific materials, boss drops, and merge recipes. Here's everything you need to know.
What Are Tier 3 Weapons?
Weapons in Arms of God come in three tiers:
| Tier | Rarity Color | Damage Scaling | How to Get |
|------|-------------|----------------|------------|
| Tier 1 | White / Green | Base damage | Starter weapons, chest drops in Acts 1–2 |
| Tier 2 | Blue / Purple | 1.8× Tier 1 | Merge two Tier 1 weapons, boss drops Acts 2–3 |
| Tier 3 | Gold / Orange (Legendary) | 3.2× Tier 1 | Crafted with boss souls + rare materials, Acts 3–4 |
Tier 3 weapons glow gold in your inventory. Each one has a unique Legendary passive — a special effect that no lower-tier version provides.
How to Unlock Tier 3 Crafting
Tier 3 crafting unlocks after beating the Act 3 boss (Archon of Storms) for the first time. Once unlocked, the Cathedral gains a new crafting station: The Divine Forge.
Requirements to access The Divine Forge:
- Cathedral upgrade level 12+
- Archon of Storms defeated (any difficulty)
- At least one Tier 2 weapon at max level (level 10)
Crafting Materials — What You Need
Each Tier 3 weapon requires four types of materials:
1. Base Weapon (Tier 2, Level 10)
You must sacrifice a fully-leveled Tier 2 weapon of the same weapon type. The Tier 3 weapon inherits the sacrificed weapon's blessing slots — so use a Tier 2 with good blessings as the base.
2. Boss Soul
Every Tier 3 recipe requires a specific boss soul:
- Archon of Storms Soul → Tier 3 Storm-element weapons
- Divine Engine Omega Soul → Tier 3 Mechanical weapons
- Varek the Betrayer Soul → Tier 3 Dark/Holy weapons
Boss souls drop at ~20% rate on Normal, ~35% on Hard, and ~50% on NG+. You can re-fight bosses by replaying their act from the World Map.
3. Divine Fragment (5–10 per craft)
Dropped by elite enemies (gold health bar) in Acts 3 and 4. Best farming location: Act 4, levels 52–55, where elite density is highest.
4. Gold (15,000–25,000)
The gold cost scales with the specific weapon. See the fastest gold farming routes below.
Every Tier 3 Weapon & Its Legendary Passive
| Weapon | Type | Legendary Passive | Boss Soul Required |
|--------|------|-------------------|-------------------|
| Consecrated Mace | Holy Melee | Holy novas on kill (20% HP area damage) | Varek the Betrayer |
| Devastator | Heavy Ranged | Shots pierce 3 enemies + explode | Divine Engine Omega |
| Burning Pike | Fire Melee | Ignited enemies spread fire to nearby foes | Archon of Storms |
| Laser Core | Energy Ranged | Continuous beam ramps up to 300% damage | Divine Engine Omega |
| Voltfield | Storm Melee | Chain lightning (5 bounces, 60% damage each) | Archon of Storms |
| Abyssal Bow | Dark Ranged | +50% crit chance against full-HP enemies | Varek the Betrayer |
| Storm Herald | Storm Melee | Lightning strikes on dodge (3s cooldown) | Archon of Storms |
| Divine Judgement | Holy Ranged | Kills heal 8% max HP | Varek the Betrayer |
The best Tier 3 weapon for most builds is Consecrated Mace — the Holy nova passive clears rooms faster than any other Legendary effect. For boss fights, Devastator's piercing explosion deals the highest single-target DPS.
Best Farming Routes for Materials
Divine Fragment Farm — Act 4, Levels 52–55
- Elite density: 4–6 elites per run
- Average yield: 8–12 Divine Fragments per full clear
- Time per run: ~4 minutes
- Tip: Use a ranged build (Devastator or Laser Core) to clear elites from safe distance
Gold Farm — Act 3, Cathedral of Greed
- Gold multiplier zone: all enemies drop 3× gold
- Best with Gift of Mammon blessing (+40% gold from all sources)
- Yield: ~8,000–12,000 gold per run
- Loadout: Consecrated Mace + Avarice Amulet = room-clearing speed
Boss Soul Farm — Replay Mode
- Open World Map > select the act > Replay (available after beating the act once)
- Boss difficulty scales to your current Cathedral level
- Bring a single-target DPS build (Devastator or Laser Core) — you're speedrunning to the boss
Tier 3 vs Tier 2: When to Upgrade
Don't rush to Tier 3 the moment Act 3 ends. Tier 2 weapons at max level (10) with good blessings can carry you through early Act 4. Upgrade to Tier 3 when:
- You have enough Divine Fragments to craft without farming (10+)
- Your Tier 2 base weapon has at least 2 good blessing slots
- You're hitting a DPS wall around level 48–50
- You're about to start Hard Mode or NG+
A Tier 2 level 10 weapon with perfect blessings often outperforms a Tier 3 weapon with bad blessings. Blessing synergy matters more than raw tier.
Quick Reference
| Step | What to Do |
|------|-----------|
| 1 | Beat Archon of Storms (Act 3 boss) |
| 2 | Upgrade Cathedral to level 12+ |
| 3 | Max a Tier 2 weapon of your desired type |
| 4 | Farm boss soul (replay the act) |
| 5 | Farm 5–10 Divine Fragments in Act 4, levels 52–55 |
| 6 | Gather 15K–25K gold |
| 7 | Craft at The Divine Forge in the Cathedral |
| 8 | Equip and level your new Tier 3 weapon |
Tier 3 weapons aren't just stat sticks — their Legendary passives define endgame builds. Choose the one that synergizes with your character and blessings, not just the one with the biggest damage number.
