Arms of God Hard Mode Guide — How to Beat Every Level on Max Difficulty [2026]
What Changes on Hard Mode
Hard Mode isn't just bigger numbers — it fundamentally changes how you play.
Hard Mode Modifiers
- Enemy HP: +50%
- Enemy damage: +35%
- Enemy attack speed: +15%
- Enemy density: +30% more enemies per room
- Bosses gain new attacks (varies by boss)
- Elite enemies appear in pairs instead of solo
- Shrine healing reduced by 40%
- Gold and XP rewards: +50%
Minimum Requirements Before Attempting
- Cathedral: Might 5+, Vitality 4+, Swiftness 3+
- Character level: 40+
- At least one S-tier weapon merge
- Full blessing loadout with synergies
- Have beaten the boss on Normal at least 3 times (know the patterns)
Act-by-Act Hard Mode Strategy
Act 1: The enemy density increase is most noticeable here. Normal room of 5 enemies → Hard room of 7-8. Bring AOE — single-target weapons will be overwhelmed. Mage or Devastator recommended.
Act 2: Elite pairs are the new threat. Two Archons of Storms mini-bosses at once require kiting. Pull one, kill it, reset, pull the second. Never fight both simultaneously.
Act 3: Forgotten King gains Soul Rend attack (targeted delayed AOE). Keep moving. The shadow clone fight now spawns with 50% HP instead of 30%.
Act 4: Divine Engine Omega gains a third ring of projectiles in bullet hell phase and summons elite adds during phase transitions. Kill adds immediately — they buff the boss while alive.
Hard Mode Blessing Tier List
| Tier | Blessing | Reason |
|---|---|---|
| S | Shadow Dance | 1.5s invincibility on kill — procs constantly in dense rooms |
| S | Vampiric Edge | Sustain is critical with -40% shrine healing |
| A | Iron Skin | Flat damage reduction beats percentage scaling |
| A | Wind Walker | Movement speed to handle increased enemy density |
| B | Executioner | Still good, but enemies have more HP so the 30% threshold is larger |
