Arms of God FAQ

General

Q: What is Arms of God?

A: Arms of God is a bullet heaven roguelite developed by Dark Jay Studio. You merge weapons, collect blessings from a pantheon of gods, master 10 unique characters, and fight through 60 levels across 4 acts. Think Hades meets Vampire Survivors with deep weapon crafting.

Q: Is Arms of God on Steam?

A: Yes, it's available on Steam Early Access and Epic Games Store. Full release planned for Late 2026.

Q: How much does it cost?

A: $14.99 USD (Early Access price). Price will increase to $19.99 at full release.

Q: Is there a demo?

A: Yes. The demo includes Act 1 with Knight and Ranger characters. Progress does not carry over to the full game.

Q: Is Arms of God on console?

A: Not yet. Nintendo Switch and mobile versions are planned post-1.0. Currently PC only (Windows, Linux, Steam Deck).

Gameplay

Q: How long is the game?

A: First playthrough: 10-15 hours. Full completion (all characters, Hard Mode, NG+): 60-80 hours. 100% achievements: 80-120 hours.

Q: How many characters are there?

A: 10 characters total. 2 starting (Knight, Ranger), 8 unlockable (Assassin, Mage, Paladin, Sniper, Devastator, Priest, Monk, Berserker).

Q: What's the best weapon?

A: Void Reaper (daggers) is the mathematically strongest weapon. But "best" depends on your character and build — Fire Staff on Mage is arguably more effective for progression.

Q: Is there multiplayer?

A: Yes, 2-player online co-op. No local co-op, no 3-4 player support.

Q: How does weapon merging work?

A: Combine two weapons at any bonfire. The base weapon keeps its type; the sacrifice weapon adds stats (40% of its value) and any element/effect. Level both weapons before merging for bonus stats.

Difficulty

Q: Is Arms of God hard?

A: It has a learning curve. Acts 1-2 are accessible to most players; the Act 3 boss (Forgotten King) is the first major difficulty spike. Hard Mode is legitimately hard. Normal is beatable by anyone willing to learn boss patterns.

Q: Is there an easy mode?

A: Normal is the default difficulty. There's no "easy" mode, but you can over-level at the Cathedral to make Normal significantly easier.

Technical

Q: Does it run on Steam Deck?

A: Yes, 45-60 FPS with adjusted settings. See the Steam Deck performance guide.

Q: Are there microtransactions?

A: No. All characters, weapons, and content are unlocked through gameplay. Gems (premium currency) are earned in-game — no real-money purchases.

Q: Does it support ultrawide monitors?

A: Yes, 21:9 and 32:9 are supported natively.
