Forgotten King Boss Overview
Act 3 secret boss, found by completing the Royal Crest quest. Necromancy mechanics — raises dead adds during fight.
Attack Patterns
Phase 1
- Primary Attack: High damage, telegraphed by a 1.5s wind-up animation. Dodge sideways.
- Secondary Attack: Medium damage AoE, indicated by a red circle on the ground. 2s warning.
- Special: Unique phase 1 mechanic. Manage by positioning carefully.
Phase 2 (50% HP)
- New Attack: Stronger variant with wider AoE. Dodge timing changes from 1.5s to 1.2s.
- Enrage buff: Boss gains 15% attack speed and damage below 50% HP.
- Adds spawn: 3-5 adds spawn at 50% HP. Kill them immediately — they buff the boss if alive.
Phase 3 (25% HP)
- Desperation mechanic: Boss drops all defenses for 30% more damage.
- Timed enrage: 2-minute timer starts. If boss is not dead, party wipe.
Recommended Builds
Best Weapons
1. High DPS ranged (Laser Core, Stormcaller Bow): Stay safe while dealing damage.
2. Sustain melee (Void Reaper): Self-healing counters the boss's chip damage.
3. Burst setup (Frostbite Blade + heavy weapon): Freeze → shatter during damage windows.
Best Blessings
1. Element-appropriate damage blessing (+25% is baseline)
2. Movement speed — dodge the AoEs
3. Damage reduction — survive the phase 3 enrage
Strategy Summary
1. Phase 1: Learn the dodge timing. Don't get greedy — 2 hits then reposition.
2. Phase 2: Kill adds first, then boss. The buff they provide makes the boss nearly unkillable.
3. Phase 3: Burn everything. All cooldowns, all consumables. The enrage timer is real.
