Farming Overview

Farming efficiently in Arms of God means understanding which Act gives the best returns for each resource type. Gold, XP, and crafting materials are optimized in completely different parts of the game, and a good farming strategy rotates between them based on your current needs.

Resource Efficiency Table

| Resource | Best Act | Optimal Difficulty | Time per Run | Yield per Hour |

|----------|----------|-------------------|--------------|----------------|

| Gold | Act 4 | Normal | ~30 min | ~45,000 |

| XP | Act 3 | Hard | ~25 min | ~18,000 XP |

| Fire Essence | Act 2 | Normal | ~15 min | ~8-10 |

| Energy Cores | Act 3 | Normal | ~20 min | ~5-7 |

| Iron Plates | Act 3 | Hard | ~25 min | ~12-15 |

| Memory Shards | Act 4 Boss | NG+ | ~40 min | 1 guaranteed |

| Legendary Weapons | Act 4 | Hard | ~30 min | Varies |

Best Gold Farming Route — Act 4 Speed Clear

Act 4 Normal mode is the gold farming meta for one reason: enemy density in the Cathedral zones. The corridor sections of the Cathedral spawn enemies in tight clusters that die quickly to AoE, and each kill drops 30-50 gold on Normal difficulty (60-80 on Hard, but the clear time increase isn't worth it).

Optimal route:

1. Start Act 4, rush to the first Cathedral corridor (skip optional rooms)

2. Clear the corridor section (3-4 waves of clustered enemies)

3. Enter the side chapel (left path) — guaranteed elite spawn worth ~1,500 gold

4. Return to main path, clear to the first mini-boss (~2,000 gold on kill)

5. Reset and repeat

Expected yield: ~4,500-5,000 gold per 12-minute clear. With a fully optimized AoE build, you can squeeze in 5 runs per hour for 22,000-25,000 gold/hour.

Best XP Farming Route — Act 3 Hard Mode

XP scales with enemy level and difficulty multiplier. Act 3 on Hard Mode provides the best XP-to-time ratio because the enemy HP pool is manageable while the XP multiplier is 1.8x (versus 1.0x on Normal).

Optimal route:

1. Equip +XP blessing (Scholar's Mind) and +XP Cathedral upgrade (Training Ground XP node)

2. Start Act 3 on Hard, full-clear every room

3. Prioritize elite rooms — they grant 3x the XP of standard rooms

4. Skip the optional boss unless you can kill it in under 2 minutes

Expected yield: ~3,500-4,000 XP per full clear (25 minutes). Roughly 8,000-9,000 XP/hour.

Material-Specific Farming

Fire Essence (Act 2)

Fire-element enemies spawn most densely in Act 2's Forge area. The first two rooms after the Forge entrance are optimal — they're small, dense, and reset quickly. Run a Water or Ice build to clear faster (elemental advantage).

Iron Plates (Act 3, Hard)

Mechanical enemies in Act 3 drop Iron Plates at a 30% rate on Hard (versus ~15% on Normal). The factory section before the mid-boss has the highest mechanical enemy density. Clear it, kill the mid-boss (guaranteed 2-3 plates), reset.

Energy Cores (Act 3, Secret Room)

The secret room in Act 3's Cathedral zone contains a guaranteed Energy Core. The room is accessible by breaking a specific wall in the library (look for a slightly discolored bookshelf). The Core respawns each full run — you can't farm it repeatedly without completing the Act.

Farming Build Optimization

For pure farming efficiency, prioritize:

1. Movement speed (above all else — moving faster between rooms is the #1 time-saver)

2. AoE damage (kill everything on screen at once)

3. Auto-targeting weapons (less aiming = faster clears)

4. Ignore single-target DPS (bosses are optional in farming runs — skip them)

The optimal farming class is the AoE Specialist with a movement speed weapon pairing.
